Aureum SMS Communication Guidelines & Compliance

Overview

Aureum is a customer relationship management (CRM) platform designed for real estate professionals. Aureum enables real estate agents to send one-to-one (1:1) SMS messages to clients and prospects for property-related communication.

This page outlines how Aureum and its affiliated agents obtain consent, send messages, and maintain compliance with SMS messaging regulations and carrier requirements.

1. Clear Brand Identification

Aureum is a real estate CRM platform that enables individual real estate agents to send one-to-one (1:1) SMS messages to their clients and prospects.

All SMS messages sent through the Aureum platform are clearly identified with:

  • The Aureum brand name
  • The individual real estate agent's name
  • Clear identification of the message purpose (property inquiries, showing follow-ups, transaction updates)

Messages are used exclusively for real estate-related communication and are sent on a one-to-one basis from individual agents to their contacts.

2. Verbal/In-Person Consent

When real estate agents collect phone numbers during property showings, open houses, or in-person client meetings, they must obtain verbal consent before sending SMS messages.

✓ Agents always obtain verbal consent before sending any SMS.

Required Verbal Disclosure:

"I will send follow-up information via SMS regarding the property or your inquiry. Message frequency varies, and you may reply STOP at any time to opt out."

When this applies: Property showings, open houses, client consultations, networking events

What happens: Agent verbally informs the individual about SMS communication before collecting their phone number

Documentation: Agents should note the date and context of verbal consent in their CRM

3. Website Form Consent

When real estate agents collect contact information through website forms (including third-party integrations like Zapier), they must include compliant consent language. All website forms must include a phone number field and an opt-in disclosure.

4. Referral & Third-Party Lists

Agents may only send SMS messages to referred contacts after obtaining express consent.

Before texting a referred contact, the agent must:

  • Directly contact the individual to explain how they received their number
  • Obtain explicit permission to communicate via SMS
  • Provide the same disclosures as verbal consent (message frequency, STOP instructions)

⚠️ Aureum does not permit messaging to purchased or third-party lists.

All contacts must have a direct relationship with the agent or must provide explicit consent before receiving any SMS communication.
